Big Brothers/Big Sisters Recognition Picnic

Henderson County 4H Field Trip

The Henderson County 4H Summer Camp will be coming out to the farm to see what it's like in a day of a farmer, get to get up close with our equipment and then pick some fresh vegetables to take back to camp to cook and eat for their lunch the next day!

Join NRF and Society of St. Andrews' volunteers on Thursday, August 15th for our 2019 mission project! Each year we partner with Society of St. Andrews (SOSA) to help feed the hungry across western NC. Each year they glean 1000s of pounds of unmarketable produce from farms to distribute to areas of great need. We are excited to be apart of the NC State's Agritourism & Local Food Research Project.  This helps bring 5th grade and up classes to the farm to see where food comes from and help them understand why agritourism is important to farms and the local community. We are excited to host our 2nd class that is apart of this new program!

Avery’s Creek Wagon Train

Every October we are excited to host the Avery's Creek Wagon Train here at the farm! Girl Scout Farm Tour

October 15, 2019

A group of young ladies from a local Girl Scout Troop will be coming out to the farm to see what a day in farming is like! They'll check out our main campus, our equipment, meet the farmer and farm managers, have a late lunch by the river and working with Society of St. Andrews to glean some vegetables to go to a local shelter.
