Farm Tour

We are excited to be apart of the NC State’s Agritourism & Local Food Research Project.  This helps bring 5th grade and up classes to the farm to see where food comes from and help them understand why agritourism is important to farms and the local community. We are excited to host our 3rd class that is apart of this new program!

Avery’s Creek Wagon Train

Every October we are excited to host the Avery's Creek Wagon Train here at the farm! Girl Scout Farm Tour

October 15, 2019

A group of young ladies from a local Girl Scout Troop will be coming out to the farm to see what a day in farming is like! They'll check out our main campus, our equipment, meet the farmer and farm managers, have a late lunch by the river and working with Society of St. Andrews to glean some vegetables to go to a local shelter.

8th Grade Farm Tour

We have partnered with Henderson County Extension Office to be apart of the annual 8th Grade Farm Tour! This will help expose local 8th graders to all the different careers that agriculture brings to a local community and how important each and every person is who works there. At the research station in Mills River, the students saw research labs and experimental plots and met the scientists who generate the information disseminated through agriculture agents at the Extension Office. Skeet Shoot on The Farm

We are excited to team up with DB bar D Outfitters (www.dbbard.com) to start our new year with a Skeet Shoot on the farm!
